Rookie of the Year is awarded to new members of Salem Kiwanis, regardless of whether they are a new Kiwanian or a former member of a different club. Rookie of the Year is awarded to those new members who, during their first year of membership in Salem Kiwanis Club, best display the objectives and ideals of Kiwanis through their involvement with club and community activities.
